COVID-19 UPDATE
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be continuing with our virtual events only. Currently we are unsure as to whether this will include the Bacchus Ball 2021. We thank you for your understanding, as this decision has been taken with the best interest of our fellow students and committee in mind. We hope you are continuing to stay safe!
Who we are
The Bacchus Society is an amalgamation of Bacchus Alumni and the Bacchus Student Society. A community of students, graduates and friends of the School, one which strengthens a worldwide network of hospitality and tourism professionals, all of whom are formally connected with Oxford Brookes.
We aim to provide our members with more opportunities to meet with and learn from successful alumni, and will enable graduates to better support each other. We are trying to promote the sense that once you join as a student, that should be the start of a valuable life-long relationship with the School. It should be a source of pride to all graduates that the reputation of the School continues to grow”.
In addition to our academic event commitments, The Bacchus Society committee also runs a number of social events for it’s students including nights out, and the annual Bacchus Ball.

Every year we have a number of guest lectures aimed at adding value to your uni experience. From starting your own business to building a network we cover a vast range of topics.
Socials
We create a number of social events to help you relax and recharge. They are a great way to meet new people on your course and to connect with others. Some of our events include the Bacchus Bang, Bacchus 2 School, cocktail tasting, wine & movie night and much much more!
The Bacchus Ball
The Bacchus Ball is our annual gala dinner. It's the perfect way to end off the academic year and for our final years, it's an amazing goodbye to the Oxford School of Hospitality management. We a take look back at the last academic year and showcase the best of OSHM.
